It is easy to get started using ToolWorks.

  1. Add Tools: Import or create tools that you want to track. (Tools > Bulk Upload or Create Tool)

    💡 Tip: Import process will automatically create tool catalog, inventory, location and category in one go and is ideal when you are starting and need to add thousands of tools.

    Optional Pre-Steps:

    • Locations: If you want to model real world and have hierarchy of locations, bulk import or create locations first. (Locations > Bulk Upload or Create Location)

      Note: If you just have simple list of locations, you can skip this step and let Tool import create locations automatically for you.

    • Category & Sub Category: If you will like to organize your tools using pre-defined categories and sub categories, create them manually or using Bulk Upload. (Category > Bulk Upload or Create Category)

  2. Add Users: Import or create users. (Users > Bulk Upload or Create User)

  3. Assign Responsibility: Optionally record existing Tool Owners by uploading them from Dispatch > Bulk Upload > Tool Owners.

You are now ready to use the system.
